For projects where material character, hand finishing and product details matter more than a standard product configuration, VANTRE supports a separate handcrafted custom route.
Projects can begin from a product concept, reference, drawing or selected material direction, then move through detail confirmation and physical sampling.
Start with the Product You Want to Create
A handcrafted project is suitable when the final product needs more than a standard material or branding change. The starting point may be:
- a new product concept;
- a drawing;
- a reference image;
- a physical reference sample;
- or an existing product used as the structural direction.
The first step is to define what should make the finished product different: Material > Structure > Handcrafted Detail > Surface Feel > Final Presentation.

Material Is Part of the Product Identity
Premium handcrafted products can involve selected materials and decorative details according to the approved project. Project directions can include:
- Xiaoye Zitan / small-leaf red sandalwood;
- natural cattle horn;
- natural sheep horn;
- gold-plated comb teeth.
Material availability, product structure and the way different materials work together are reviewed for each project. Ivory, hawksbill shell, rhinoceros horn and other prohibited materials are not accepted.

Handcrafted Details Are Confirmed on the Physical Product
For this type of project, small changes in proportion, edge shape, tooth detail, surface refinement and hand feel can affect the final character of the product. A typical confirmation sequence is:

- limited project editions;
- high-end presentation sets.
The final combination is defined for the actual project rather than presented as a fixed ready-made set.
Branding and Presentation Come After the Product Direction
Once the handcrafted product itself is defined, the project can continue into branding and presentation. Depending on the confirmed product, this may include:
- laser engraving;
- printing;
- hang tags;
- labeling;
- gift box;
- set presentation;
- insert cards.
The product, branding and packaging should be reviewed together so the finished presentation matches the intended positioning.
